I want illegal immigrants deported; they are breaking the law. If any legal citizen breaks the law, he or she is fined, jailed, and punished as required.

Illegals are not punished. Instead they are rewarded, as I see it, for entering this country illegally. I’m all for immigration, just not 30 million at a time with an “On my terms not yours attitude”. That’s not immigration; that’s annexation.

Years ago when immigrants were allowed into America they came through Ellis Island, and they came legally. When Ellis Island opened a great change was taking place in immigration to the United States. Immigrants came from Europe, Germany, Britain, and Scandinavian countries. The reason they left their homes included war, drought, famine, and religious persecution, and all had hopes for greater opportunities in the New World.
Immigrants learned our language, went to work, paid taxes, and paid their own way. They didn’t expect a handout at every turn. They obeyed our laws and they assimilated into this country. They learned our cultures and taught us theirs. They were proud to be in America, proud of our flag, and proud to be here.

Immigrants have changed, especially illegal’s, regardless of what country they sneaked in from. They expect everything given to them. An E.R nurse in Minnesota reported. Every day she has one or more illegal criminals from Mexico as patients. One day a pregnant fifteen year old girl with abdominal pain, entered the emergency room, the first thing she asked through an interpreter was “Who do I talk to get her apartment now that I am pregnant? The abuse handed to the health care system via these criminals is staggering. (The Red Tape Chronicles – msnbc.com)

Behind many of the nation’s millions of undocumented workers are stolen ID’s and documents. To get a job, illegal immigrants need a social security number, and they often “borrow one”. As victim Melody Millet is fond of saying,” U.S citizens are being forced to share their identities with undocumented immigrants to give corporate America a steady supply of cheap labor”. An ID theft victim Margaret Harrison was denied unemployment benefits because records showed she had a job. Harrison was in West Virginia – her social security number was working on a farm in Washington – State. She couldn’t prove her problem until recently, however, when she received a debit card with her imposter’s picture on it. “Washington Post.com”

Illegal alien migration into the United States costs American taxpayers $346 billion annually reported by the National Research Council. While employers of illegal aliens rake in billions of dollars, the US citizens subsidize what may be called 21st Century America, While Congress imports 182,000 legal immigrants monthly who need jobs. Another estimated 100,000 illegal’s arrive each month without jobs. All those immigrants seize jobs from Americans at slave wages. So what happens to the American taxpayer? Immigrants are poorer, pay less tax, and are more likely to receive public benefits than American citizens.

The NRC found that the average immigrant household receives $13,326 in federal welfare. Emergency medical treatment – US taxpayer money provides $250 million a year to help hospitals defray costs for illegal aliens. The Bureau of Land Management – the Department of Interior spends $1 million to remediate environmental damage done by illegal’s crossing the US southern border. The Office of Foreign Labor Certification, immigrant workers depress wages for US citizens resulting in declines in federal revenues at $100 billion annually.

300,000 pregnant Mexican women cross the border to birth their babies, known as anchor babies, in American hospitals at an average of $6,000.00 per birth with no complications. If the child suffers heart defects, Down’s syndrome, Autism, or any other problems, the costs jump to $500,000.00 with long term care into the millions of dollars, all footed by the American taxpayer. That child enjoys free breakfasts and lunches through thirteen years of publicly funded education at the average cost of $7,000.00 per year. More hidden costs add up with ESL classes to teach the child English. Connecticut alone has to deal with 120 languages while Colorado has at least forty foreign languages that cripple their classrooms. These immigrants take American jobs while they burn American taxpayer funds for immigrant welfare. Once those illegal aliens come into this country, half of them work off the books and do not pay $401 billion dollars annually according to the 2005 Bear Stearns Report.

Here is an example of why hiring illegal aliens is not economically productive. You have two families…”Joe Legal” and “Joe Illegal”. Both families have two parents, two children and live in California. “Joe Legal” works in construction, has a social security number, and makes $25.00 per hour with payroll taxes deducted….”Joe Illegal” also works in construction, has “no” social security number, and gets paid $15.00 cash “under the table”.

Joe Legal makes $25.00 per hour x 40 hours $1000.00 per week, $52,000 per year. Now take 30% away for state federal tax Joe Legal now has $31,231.00. Joe Illegal makes $15.00 per hour x 40 hours $600.00 per week, $31,200.00 per year. Joe Illegal pays no taxes. Joe Illegal now has $31,200.00 Joe Legal pays medical and dental Insurance with limited coverage. At $1000.00 per month, $12,000.00 per year, Joe Legal now has $19,231.00. Joe Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Joe Illegal still has $31,200.00. Joe Legal makes too much money, and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays for food, at $1,000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $ 7,231.00.

Joe Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Joe Illegal still has $31,200.00 Joe Legal pays rent at $1,000.00 per month, $12,000.00 per year. Joe Legal is now in the hole minus $4,769.00. Joe Illegal receives a $500 per month federal rent subsidy. Joe Illegal pays rent at $500.00 per month, $6,000.00 per year. Joe Illegal still has $31,200.00. Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part-time job after work. Joe Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal and Joe Illegal’s children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children’s lunches while Joe Illegal’s children get a government – sponsored lunch. Joe Illegal’s children have an after – school ESL program. Joe Legal’s children go home.

Joe Legal and Joe Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe Legal paid for them and Joe Illegal did not pay.

I felt this above story would specify the differences that everyone could understand. As a taxpaying American, what would you like to see change?

In conclusion, do we really want to see this happen to all of the United States? To see our children short – changed on education, our elderly cut short on well – earned benefits to support illegal aliens? I don’t, and this angers me more than anything. Our children, our elderly, and our poor should come first.
